Avalanche Tests by Johan Gaume & Walter Steinkogler
Article publié le
Some tests realized in Davos (Switzerland) by Johan Gaume, Picture’s rider, and Walter Steinkogler, both from the SLF, Swiss federal Institute for Snow and Avalanche Research based in Davos, reveal that the snow layer has a really weak foundation. It is made of a lot of tiny small balls of snow, very unstable, especially on North faces. So, danger is not visible. Be careful.
